There’s no individual node refund anywhere in this system — every respec is a full-tree reset, and Fundamentals and your Specialization are always reset as two separate, independent trees.
| Action | Gold cost | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Fundamentals reset | 25,000 | All 10 Fundamentals points return to your pool. The free root stays unlocked, since it never cost a point to begin with. |
| Specialization reset | 25,000 | All 40 Specialization points return to your pool. You keep your current specialization choice (Guardian/Lifebinder/Reaver) — only the points you spent in it are refunded. |
| Specialization change | 50,000 | Resets your Specialization points the same way, swaps your free active to the new specialization’s, and leaves your Fundamentals allocation completely untouched. |
These gold figures are current proposed values and may be adjusted by leadership during testing — if the in-game cost you see differs from this table, trust the game, not this page, and let us know so we can update it.
Why it’s gold-gated instead of free
Respec being a deliberate, costed decision — rather than a free toggle — is intentional design. The Draft → Apply workflow (see Point Allocation) already protects you from misclicks costing anything; the gold cost is specifically for changing your mind about a build you already committed to.
