Enemy Forces is the dungeon’s progress meter for everything that isn’t a mandatory boss. Trash packs and elite monsters each contribute a chunk of progress toward it, and it has to reach 100% before a run can complete.

Why it exists

The design goal is route optimization without boss-rushing: you’re never forced to clear every single monster in the dungeon, but killing bosses while skipping nearly all the trash isn’t enough to finish a run either. Completion always requires both 100% Enemy Forces and every mandatory boss dead.

Elites count for more than trash

Packs in the Azerite Dungeon mix regular trash with tougher elite monsters (spellcasters, support casters, and similar). Elites are weighted more heavily toward your Enemy Forces total than ordinary trash of the same pack, so prioritizing or at least not ignoring elites tends to move the meter faster per kill.

Practical tips

  • Enemy Forces is a party-wide total, not a per-player one — it doesn’t matter who lands the killing blow.
  • If your group is behind on the timer, look for the elites in each pack rather than trying to tag every single trash mob.
  • A pack’s exact contribution isn’t displayed as a precise number in this build — treat the meter as a general pace-check against your timer, not a min-maxing target.
