Upgrading an artifact happens through a dedicated vendor NPC, Ilvenne, rather than a typed command. Double-click her to open the Attunement interface.

Step 1 — Browse

The interface opens on a compact Browser screen: one row per eligible Minor Artifact you own, showing its icon, name, location (backpack/bank), and current tier/step. It doesn’t show upgrade comparisons yet at this stage — that’s intentional, so you can scan your whole collection quickly before committing to one.

  • An equipped artifact still shows up in the list, but greyed out with “Unequip to upgrade” — you have to take it off before you can raise its power.
  • Hovering an artifact’s icon shows its real, current item tooltip — the same one you’d see hovering it in your backpack.

Step 2 — Confirm

Selecting an eligible row opens the Confirm screen: a full Current → After comparison across every one of the artifact’s stats (including resistances, even though those never change), with anything that actually improves shown in green and everything else in neutral text. This is also where you see the Ichor cost and your current balance for the required tier.

Click Attune to spend the Ichor and apply the upgrade, Back to return to the Browser, or Cancel to close without spending anything.

What a typical upgrade step costs

Higher power increments cost higher-tier Ichor — a Dormant artifact’s early steps can usually be funded with Crude Ichor, but reaching further toward Awakened and Ascended requires Charged and then Radiant Ichor respectively. The exact gold/Ichor cost curve per step is still being tuned, so check the Confirm screen’s live cost rather than relying on a number from this page.

A heads-up on visuals

The Attunement interface’s panel art is a work in progress — some frames currently render as plain placeholder boxes rather than finished artwork. That’s expected and already tracked internally; it’s not something you need to report.
